Dana, or the practice of generosity, is an important aspect of Buddhist practice. Dana can be an offering of time, energy, or material resources. It is a tradition that invites us to consider what gifts we have to share, and allows us to live into our awareness of our interconnectedness with others.

There are multiple ways to support Portland Dharma House. Periodically we hold community work events, such as gardening or painting days, to help us maintain the property. We also welcome donations of time from those with skills as contractors, artists, event organizers, dharma teachers, etc. We are additionally exploring ways to support various community projects as a sangha and welcome input and partnerships in this area. Please contact us (below) to share your ideas.

Portland Dharma House is committed to offering morning meditation and all dharma events freely so that they are accessible to all regardless of financial circumstances. In order to sustain this commitment, we gratefully accept financial donations from those who are able. Please note the Dharma House does not currently have 501c3 status so gifts are not tax deductible.
