Neuroscience is confirming what many of us know from our own experience - that human beings are interdependent, open systems that need each other to self regulate. In our Buddhist practice, even when we are practicing in silence, we depend on each other and the Buddha himself to support our individual work. In this four hour workshop we will be experimenting with how to make the community support more palpable, so that we may experience more support with the difficult challenge of loving ourselves and each other. We will have traditional metta (lovingkindness) practice, relational practice in small groups and diads, and walking meditation.
This event is offered freely, with donations gratefully accepted to support Phoenix's livelihood and continued teaching of the dharma. Space is limited to 20 participants to create a supportive environment for relational practice. A deposit is not required but please let us know right away if you need to cancel your registration.
In order to convene a multicultural group, registrations from participants who identify as People of Color will be prioritized.
